Boss lair

Trait

Longest casts, lighter fish

Found in

the Starwhale lair

A slim staff with a giant head: a big glowing halo ring with a crown floating inside it. Halo flares roll out of the ring, gold stars spiral up through radiant mist and a sky of sparkles orbits the biggest star flare in the game, making it the loudest rod of all; it has the longest casts but lands lighter fish. It is never sold: captains who help tame the Starwhale in its lair have a chance to find it.

In the rod tree

Unlocking it as your rod’s setup needs Abyss Rod first. If you earn it before then, its look is yours at once and the setup activates once you own what comes before it.

Owning it also unlocks its look for good: wear it on any rod at the Rod Workshop’s effects stand. See Rod looks and colorways.
