An endless mirror-silver ribbon, the Ribbon Oarfish carries a flowing crimson crest swept back from its head and one continuous crimson fin down the whole length of its back. Long pelvic fins end in paddles like oars, and a softly glowing line runs along its lavender-silver sides. It rises from the depths of the Whisperdeep Abyss, where glowing water marks its hotspots, more of them in fog. Hooked, it makes long, deep runs back toward the dark.

How to catch it
Section titled “How to catch it”- Look for a glow under the water: they mark a hotspot where Ribbon Oarfish and its kind bite more often.
- It bites more in fog.
- When it fights back it mostly dives. Slow your reeling down without stopping, then reel it in while it rests.
