A small boat of weathered timber held together with riveted repairs, with a lashed spare oar, a plain bench and a tiny outboard motor. Unlike the creature boats it is steered with a wheel and a throttle, so it never shows a saddle or reins. Every captain starts with it, and the skin stays yours to wear however far your boat grows.

A skin only changes how your boat looks. Speed, handling, riders, hull size and the waters it can enter all come from the boat tree.
