Cosmetics change how you, your pet and your boat look, and never how anything plays. You try them on and buy them in person at the harbor’s shop stands, not in a menu: hats at the Hat Shop’s hat stand, with a wide group mirror to try them on together; pet accessories at the Egg House’s pet stand, where your pet hops onto a pedestal to model them; and boat looks, wakes and saddle and reins looks at the Stables’ effects stand, where your boat, shrunk to a pet, shows them off. Every purchase takes two presses, BUY and then CONFIRM.
Cosmetics come from several places: some are bought with coins, some with Crowns, some are rewards on the Captain’s Pass, and some turn up in treasure chests. Once you own a cosmetic it is yours for good, and wearing or swapping it is free. Rod looks and colorways have a page of their own, under rod looks and colorways.
