Its fins are fire. The dorsal, pectorals and tail of the Blazefin Shark are cut into licking flame tongues that burn from deep red at the root to white-hot tips, over a sleek charcoal body seamed with glowing magma and a molten throat behind a row of fangs. Fins slicing through the Cinder Sea are the sign that one is hunting nearby. A legendary catch, it fights with long, deep runs that take a lot of line.

How to catch it
Section titled “How to catch it”- Look for fins cutting the surface: they mark a hotspot where Blazefin Shark and its kind bite more often.
- The weather doesn’t change how often it bites.
- It bites only inside an island’s ring, never out in the open sea.
- When it fights back it mostly dives. Slow your reeling down without stopping, then reel it in while it rests.
