Two rows of big cream suckers run down all eight curling arms of this coral-orange octopus, each sucker ringed in electric aqua light. Its bulbous mantle is bumpy with reef-textured knobs and mottling, horned brows sit over big, clever golden eyes, and its arms fade to pale coral tips as they curl into spirals. It hunts the Moonglow Reef behind bubble trails and surges unpredictably on the line.

  • Look for rising bubbles: they mark a hotspot where Reef Octopus and its kind bite more often.
  • The weather doesn’t change how often it bites.
  • When it fights back it mostly runs to the side. Slow your reeling down without stopping, then reel it in while it rests.

A Reef Octopus can hatch from a Epic Coral Egg. As a pet its perk is Lucky. See Pets and Eggs.
