Gliding like a kite over the shoals, the signature fish of the Fan Shoals is a swept-wing ray whose violet wings are woven with an orange sea-fan lattice dotted with glowing polyps. A frilly lace fringe trails from each wing’s back edge, two curled lobes jut from its head like a manta’s horns, and its short whip tail is ringed in orange. Fins cutting the water give away its hotspots, and it surges in strong bursts when hooked.

How to catch it
Section titled “How to catch it”- Look for fins cutting the surface: they mark a hotspot where Fanwing Glider and its kind bite more often.
- The weather doesn’t change how often it bites.
- When it fights back it mostly runs to the side. Slow your reeling down without stopping, then reel it in while it rests.
As a pet
Section titled “As a pet”A Fanwing Glider can hatch from a Common Coral Egg or a Uncommon Coral Egg. As a pet its perk is Lucky. See Pets and Eggs.
