A storm in the shape of a swordfish, this gleaming silver-blue torpedo is slashed top to bottom by forked, white-hot lightning stripes. Its long flat sword crackles with arcing electricity along both edges, and its towering dorsal and crescent tail are veined with lightning. The Tempest Swordfish hunts the Thunder Straits, where lightning striking one spot on the water marks its hotspots, and storms bring it up far more often. One of the region’s legendary catches, it fights with long, deep runs.

How to catch it
Section titled “How to catch it”- Look for crackling lightning: they mark a hotspot where Tempest Swordfish and its kind bite more often.
- It bites more in storms.
- It bites only inside an island’s ring, never out in the open sea.
- When it fights back it mostly dives. Slow your reeling down without stopping, then reel it in while it rests.
