Captain's Pass

The Captain’s Pass is a ladder of rewards you climb just by playing. It has its own CAPTAIN’S PASS tab in the captain’s log.

Each calendar month is a season. On the first of the month the pass starts again from level one, with the same two tracks of rewards as before. Anything you claimed stays yours.

You earn pass XP by:

  • landing fish;
  • hooking treasure and other items (a little less than a fish);
  • taking part in boss fights, with more for a lair boss;
  • each day of your daily streak (land a fish each day to keep it going).

Commissions, feeding pets and Harbor Requests don’t give pass XP.

After a catch, a small bar shows your pass level and the XP you just earned. When you reach a new level, you get a notice.

The free track is open to every captain. It has a reward every few levels: coins, gems, eggs, a few Crowns, a couple of hats and an earned rod for your rod tree.

The premium track has a reward on every level. It holds only cosmetics and Crowns, such as rod colorways, wakes, hats and, at the top level, an exclusive boat look. Premium captains claim the free track’s rewards as well.

Because the tracks repeat each month, if a premium cosmetic or rod comes round again that you already own, you get Crowns instead.

The premium track is a monthly subscription, bought through Meta from the captain’s log. It renews each month until you cancel it in your Meta account, and it turns on the premium track for every month it’s active.

The pass shows exactly what each level gives. Nothing on either track is a random reward you pay for.

Open the CAPTAIN’S PASS tab and claim each reward once you’ve reached its level. If a reward is an egg and your egg storage is full, make room and claim it again.
