An ancient war-turtle, its high mossy dome is plated in scutes seamed with glowing lime light and crowned by a ridge of huge ivory-and-bronze spikes. A hooked snapping beak, a heavy brow and big scaled front flippers finish the look. It is one of the rarer finds in the Sunlit Shallows, rising from the sand in a trail of bubbles, and once hooked it pulls like an anchor heading for the seabed.

How to catch it
Section titled “How to catch it”- Look for rising bubbles: they mark a hotspot where Spiked-Shell Turtle and its kind bite more often.
- The weather doesn’t change how often it bites.
- When it fights back it mostly dives. Slow your reeling down without stopping, then reel it in while it rests.
