A jagged yellow lightning bolt strikes down each storm-blue flank of this fast, jack-like fish, under a back mottled like gathering clouds. Its tall swept sickle dorsal, long wing-like pectorals and deeply forked tail are all edged in lightning yellow. Stormfin cruise the Kelpwood, where surface boils mark where they feed, and they bite best when the weather turns to storm.

How to catch it

- It bites more in storms.
- When it fights back it mostly runs to the side. Slow your reeling down without stopping, then reel it in while it rests.
