A solar eclipse given a dragon’s body, the Eclipse Sea Dragon carries a blazing gold halo behind its black skull, so that seen head-on its head blots out the sun. Night-black scales edged in gold, a row of glowing eclipse phases down each flank, long gold horns and leafy gold-rimmed fins run along its serpentine body to a lobed fan at the tip of its tail. It is the rarest prize of World’s Edge and often the last fish captains add to their booklet; a huge spout and whirlpool marks its hotspots. Hooked, it twists and surges to the side with mythic strength.

How to catch it
Section titled “How to catch it”- Look for water spouts: they mark a hotspot where Eclipse Sea Dragon and its kind bite more often.
- The weather doesn’t change how often it bites.
- It bites only inside an island’s ring, never out in the open sea.
- It is rarer than other fish of its rarity: expect to put in some time.
- When it fights back it mostly runs to the side. Slow your reeling down without stopping, then reel it in while it rests.
